Dr Sinjini Biswas is a consultant interventional cardiologist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, specialising in complex percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). She obtained her medical degree from The University of Melbourne and completed her cardiology training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. She then received scholarships from the National Heart Foundation of Australia to complete a PhD at The Alfred Hospital/Monash University. Subsequently, Sinjini completed two international fellowships in TAVI and complex high-risk PCI at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Bristol Heart Institute respectively, in the UK. She was then appointed as an interventional cardiologist at the Bristol Heart Institute where she worked for 2 years before returning to Melbourne in late 2023. Her clinical and research interests lie in intracoronary imaging, complex PCI including use of advanced calcium modification & CTO PCI, & reducing disparities in care.
