Professor Andrea Driscoll

Professor Andrea Driscoll has appointments with the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Deakin University and a heart failure nurse practitioner at Austin Health. She has over 25 years experience in critical care and cardiac nursing. Professor Driscoll has an established program of research focusing on system redesign and improving evidence-based practice in patients with cardiovascular disease to reduce disparities in health care. She has received several national and international awards for her research and is currently an international fellow of American Heart Association and European Society of Cardiology, and fellow of Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand in recognition of her contributions to cardiovascular nursing through practice, research, and education. She is a fellow of Australian College of Nurse Practitioners due to her leadership in progressing the role of nurse practitioners in Australia through national health policies and professional regulations.
