Prof. Andreas Flammer, MD, FHFA, FESC is Head of Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation at the Department of Cardiology, University Hospital Zurich, a position he assumed in 2018. He is Titular Professor ofCardiology at the university of Zurich and a consultant cardiologist with extensive expertise in heart failure, mechanical support, heart transplantation and cardio-renal interactions. His research focuses on vascular function, endothelial dysfunction, volume regulation and advanced heart failure therapies, with abundant publications in high-impact journals. He is actively involved in international education and professional leadership within the ESC and the Heart Failure Association. Prof. Flammer speaks German, English and French.
