Hege Andersen has a bachelor's degree in nursing since 1996.
She is a specialist nurse in cardiology nursing with a master's degree since 2013.
She is currently a PhD candidate at Western Norway University of Applied Sience.
Hege Andersen is particularly interested in sleep disorders and postoperative delirium in patients over 80 years of age with severe aortic stenosis, who have undergone treatment with either transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) or traditional surgical treatment (AVR).
She has extensive clinical experience with cardiac and thoracic surgical patients.
Research area; postoperative sleep disturbances, delirium, invasive or surgical treatment of elderly patients with aortic stenosis.
