Marco Proietti is Associate Professor of Internal and Geriatric Medicine at University of Milan, Deputy Chief at the Division of Subacute Care of IRCCS Istituti Clinici Scientifici Maugeri, Milan and Honorary Senior Research Fellow at Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science, University of Liverpool, John Moores University and Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, Liverpool, UK. His main research interests are about epidemiology, clinical management and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, in particular atrial fibrillation. He also has solid experience in Geriatric Medicine research, with particular interest in the themes of frailty and multimorbidity. He's Reviewer and Editorial Board Member for several International Journals, Section Editor for Thrombosis and Haemostasis, and Associate Editor for Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine and Journal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle. He’s author of ≥260 peer-reviewed articles, with more than 6,000 citations and an H-index of 43.
