Dr. Nobu Kagiyama is Associate Professor of Cardiology at Juntendo University (Tokyo) and teaches in its Data Science Course.
He received his MD (Hokkaido Univ, 2008) and PhD (Tokyo Medical and Dental Univ, 2018). After clinical training in Japan, he spent 3.5 years in the U.S. in the labs of John Gorcsan (Univ of Pittsburgh/Washington Univ in St. Louis) and Partho Sengupta (West Virginia Univ). He was the YIA winner of both Japanese and American Societies of Echocardiography.
His expertise spans echocardiography and AI in medicine. He leads multicenter studies, including FRAGILE-HF, SONIC-HF, REVEAL-AFMR, AI-Echo RCT and AI-SCREEN, and has authored >180 peer-reviewed papers. He is an FESC and a contributor to Japanese Circulation Society guidelines.
He also serves as an Associate Editor in multiple official journals of imaging societies; EHJ-Cardoivasc Imaging (EACVI), Journal of Cardiology (JCC), Journal of Medical Ultrasonics (JSUM), and Journal of Echocardiography (JSE).
