Dr Andrea Salzano, MD, PhD, MRCP(London), is a specialist doctor in Internal Medicine (trained at the Federico II University, Naples, Italy) with a PhD in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology and Therapeutics (CardioPath). After completing a 6-years clinical research fellowship at the University of Leicester (UK), and after being the of chief of the Heart Failure day service of the AORN A Cardarelli, Naples, Italy, he currently is the chair of the Heart Failure Unit at the Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Complexity, AOU Federico II, and tenure track academic cliical lecturer at the Department of Translational medical science, Federico II University, Naples, IT.
Dr Salzano has a great expertise in clinical research, being member of severa international multicenter studies; his main fields of interest are heart failure and cardiac rehabilitation, with a specific focus on biomarkers, on the role of comorbidities, and on telemedicine.
