Julian Gelves is a cardiologist specializing in echocardiography with advanced training in cardiac CT. Since completing his core training in Bogotá, Colombia, he has focused on cardiovascular imaging for structural heart interventions. He is currently finishing a two-year fellowship in Structural Heart Disease at the University Hospital of Mainz in Germany and will begin a fellowship in Cardiac MRI at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London starting next year. His expertise centers on valvular heart disease and its interventional treatment, with a strong passion for multimodality cardiac imaging applied to structural interventions. Outside of clinical practice, he enjoys exploring new technologies and speaking multiple languages.
