Dr. Panteleimon Papakonstantinou graduated from the Medical School, University of Crete, Greece. He has completed his PhD studies and postdoc clinical fellowship in the field of atrial fibrillation (AF) at the Cardiology Dpt, School of Medicine, University of Crete and 1st Cardiology Dpt, School of Medicine, University of Athens. He completed his cardiology residency program at the Cardiology Department, Evangelismos Hospital, Athens, Greece. He is currently Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellow at the Cardiovascular Research Institute Dublin, EP Lab and Atrial Fibrillation institute, Mater Private Hospital, Dublin, Ireland. His research interest focuses on arrhythmias, especially AF, thrombosis and anticoagulation therapy. He is a nucleus member of the ESC Council on Stroke, Working Group on Thrombosis Young Researchers, and EAPC Primary Care and Risk factors management.
