Trained in medicine at London University, England. After medical rotations in London and Oxford, he emigrated to Israel, completing board certification in Internal Medicine at Hadassah University Hospital, Jerusalem. He then trained in Cardiology at Hadassah, spending most of his last year there caring for heart failure and transplant patients. After attaining board certification in Cardiology, he moved to Soroka University Medical Center in Beer-Sheva in the south of Israel, where he works in invasive cardiology, heart failure and echocardiography and is the Head of the Heart Failure service. He runs a Clalit Health Services community HF unit in Beer-Sheva. Past chairman of the Israeli Working Group on Heart Failure.
