Dr Pieter-Paul S. Robbertse is a researcher-clinician that strives to improve the understanding and expertise of cardiovascular related issues in a resource constrained South Africa. He completed his MBChB degree cum laude at Stellenbosch University in 2015. He has have combined his interest in cardiology and diagnostics with pressing HIV-related questions and completed his PhD dissertation on HIV and the heart. He is EACVI CMR level II accredited and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Division of Cardiology at Tygerberg Hospital, Cape Town.
