Dr. Giulio Guagliumi was trained in interventional cardiology at Clinique Pasteur, Toulouse. He has a long-standing research expertise in high-resolution intravascular imaging, acute myocardial infarction and stent. H’s a pioneer in clinical use of light-based imaging He was awarded at Mayo Clinic and St. Mary Hospital, Rochester in imaging and coronary physiology. Dr. Guagliumi has authored 275 peer-reviewed publications in cardiovascular research and clinical trials across all prestigious cardiology journals. He was president of the Italian Society of Invasive Cardiology and past secretary of the European Association of Percutaneous Intervention (EAPCI). In 2014 he was listed by Thomson Reuters among the most influential researcher in the last ten years. H's fellow of the ESC and Editorial board of Eurointervention. He has ongoing scientific collaboration with Beckmann Laser Institute,UCLA (Irvine), Case Western University (Cleveland), MIT (Boston), Harbin Medical University (China
