Doctor Panithaya Chareonthaitawee

Dr. Chareonthaitawee is the Education Chair, Director of the Nuclear Cardiology Laboratory, and Diversity Chair of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, and Associate Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA. She received her undergraduate degree from Columbia University and her medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. She completed her internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and nuclear cardiology training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She was a Mayo Foundation Scholar in cardiac PET imaging at the MRC Cyclotron Unit, Imperial College School of Medicine, London, England. She was the the Chair of the 2019 American Society of Nuclear Cardiology Annual Scientific Program Committee and a Past President of the Board of Directors of the Cardiovascular Council of the SNMMI. She is a current Associate Editor of Circulation Cardiovascular Imaging journal and serves on the Editorial Board of several other imaging journals.
