Felicita is a consultant cardiologist, aggregated professor and nationally-certified full professor at the Catholic University-Gemelli Hospital in Rome (IT). Previously she was lecturer/senior registrar at London University (UK), after earning an MD, two specialties and a PhD in Italy, and a 2nd PhD in the NL/UK. Early education was multilingual/multinational. Her research has been funded by British and Dutch Heart Foundations, the EU and Italian Ministries. It focuses on thrombosis, ischaemic syndromes and heart failure. Contributions to the ESC include authoring >20 guidelines or position papers, collaborating with the Scientific Programme-, Press-, and Global Scientific-committees, chairing the working group on Thrombosis, co-chairing the 2024 guideline on chronic coronary syndromes, and deputy editing for the Eur Heart J. Her 2024 H-index is 76 (by Top Italian Scientist rating), with 336 publications that include Lancet, NEJM and JAMA. She likes to bike, swim and play music.
