Thomas von Lueder is a senior Consultant Cardiologist in Oslo, Norway and specializes in heart failure and echocardiography. Tom received his MD at TU Munich, Germany in 1996, then did a PhD in experimental cardiology at University of Oslo in 2009, and subsequently spent 3 formative years as postdoc fellow with late prof. Henry Krum at CCRET, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. His research interests span from myocardial mechanics to HF pathophysiology and trials. Tom is Fellow of the ESC, an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at Monash University since 2015, and Past Chair of the Working Group on Heart Failure, Norwegian Cardiac Society. He has served as a consultant cardiologist at Oslo university hospital for many years and has recently taken on a new leadership role in private practice.
