David Playford is the Professor of Cardiology at the University of Notre Dame where he was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence, and coordinates the cardiovascular teaching program. He is founder, Director and Chief Investigator of the National Echo Database Australia (NEDA), the largest echo database in the world linked with mortality. His research interests include valvular heart disease, heart failure, artificial intelligence and pulmonary hypertension. He is the Chief Medical Advisor for Echo IQ, an Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: EIQ) listed cardiac imaging artificial intelligence technology company.
