After graduation from Medical faculty at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, Daša found her passion for cardiac imaging at Imperial College London, where she completed the MSc in Echocardiography with distinction in 2013 under the mentorship of prof. Nihoyannopoulos. She returned to Slovenia to pursue training in Cardiology, during which, she was fortunate to receive the ESC training grant to pursue further training in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging with prof. Nijveldt at Radboud University medical centre Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Her knowledge in multimodality imaging is now put to good use at Department of Cardio-vascular surgery, University Medical Centre Ljubljana, Slovenia, where she is a part of the heart team and endocarditis heart team. She is currently working on her PhD which focuses on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in mitral valve disease.
