An experienced drug developer in a global pharmaceutical company based out of Boston, MA, I help drive strategy across the entire value chain of AstraZeneca's cardiovascular and renal portfolio, stimulating novel scientific research and innovative development designs, leading the global clinical development strategy and delivery of our late stage trial programs (phase 2 onwards). This includes small molecules, gene silencers, antibodies and other biologics. Passionate about collaboration with those living with the conditions for whom we develop new solutions, clinicians and academics. I enjoy working in a tightly regulated high-pressure environment with cross-functional teams across the globe.
Before joining Industry I worked as a clinical academic cardiologist in the UK NHS for more than 20 years (with a particular interest in heart failure, and innovation and implementation) and was the Inaugural Chair of the ESC Digital Health Committee.
