Doctor Otilia Tica

Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Oradea (Romania)

Otilia Țica is a Romanian Cardiologist (Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy- Magna cum laude) and a Research Fellow in Cardiovascular Sciences at UoB. She has a PhD in cardiology and post-doctoral studies in biomedical sciences. She is a member of the NIHR Scientific Advisory Committee. Otilia is elected by the European Society of Cardiology, as the Romanian Young National Ambassador for Acute CardioVascular Care Association, is a member of the ACVC Acute Heart Failure Committee and ACVC Digital Health, and also a member of the HFA Scientific Committee on Atrial Disorders. She is an author of the current ESC 2024 AF Guidelines. Dr. Țica chaired several national and international Cardiology meetings and presented at ESC Congresses and American Heart Association meetings. She published several articles (on atrial fibrillation and heart failure) as the first author in ISI journals and high-impact journals such as Nature, Lancet, EHJ and helps improve cardiovascular patients’ outcomes.
