Dr. Andrea Cardona is a Cardiologist expert in Advanced Cardiovascular Diagnostics (ECFMG Certified, US training with Academic Appointment). Currently serving as Chair of the Advanced Cardiovascular Diagnostics program at the regional healthcare unit (Umbria), where in 2021 he established a state-of-the-art advanced CV imaging program, including CMR/CT and transesophageal echocardiography with a fast-growing volume of procedures performed annually. Dr. Cardona holds the highest level of expertise in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (level III certified by SCMR and EACVI) and Cardiac CT with several thousands of cardiovascular MRI and CT exams performed. Dr. Cardona has a Ph.D. Degree in Translational Medicine and is also expert of telemonitoring, telehealth, and smart heart monitoring devices. He is actively involved in the CMR community currently serving as chair of the SCMR Translations Committee.
