Dr Cannata is currently a Clinical Research Fellow in the Heart Failure department at the King’s College Hospital – King’s College London under the lead of Prof Theresa McDonagh. He is also visiting Scientist at the Cardiovascular Department of the University of Trieste. Dr Cannata interests are in Heart failure and, specifically, in Cardiomyopathies. His research projects focus on natural history and contemporary survival trends of Dilated Cardiomyopathy, the role of genetic testing, the prognostic impact of sex and the importance of arrhythmic risk stratification. Dr Cannata is chair of the HFA Young Board Committee for the mandate 2022-2024. Dr Cannata serves as a reviewer for the European Heart Journal and European Journal of Heart Failure, and as associate editor of PLOS One and BMC CV disorders.
