Dr Gardezi is a Consultant Cardiologist in Heart failure and CMR at the Guys & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Gardezi has successfully completed his Cardiology Specialist Training from NW Thames London Deanery. He completed his Research fellowship from University of Oxford leading to the award of MSc by Research. His research involved the clinical epidemiology of atrial fibrillation, the role of serum biomarkers in identifying atrial fibrillation and the relationship of atrial fibrillation with heart valve disease. He is actively involved in teaching the medical students and post graduate trainees both nationally and internationally. In recognition of his teaching services he was awarded the membership of the the Academy of Medical Educators UK, MAcadMEd. Dr Gardezi holds the prestigious fellowships from the Royal College of Physicians, FRCP(Glasgow) and the American College of Cardiology, FACC. He is also a member of ESC, HFA, SCMR, EACVI, BCS, BSH, BHVS.
