Dr Ofori is a Clinical and Research Fellow in Perioperative Vascular medicine at the Population Health Research institute, Canada. She is a PhD candidate in the Health Research Methodology (Clinical Epidemiology) program at McMaster University, Canada. She holds an MSc in Preventive Cardiology from Imperial College, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She is a Research fellow of the United Kingdom DFID Climate Impact Research Capacity and Leadership Enhancement (CIRCLE) Programme and an Emerging Leader of the WHF. Her research currently focuses on perioperative smoking cessation to promote recovery from non-cardiac surgery and promote long term health. She also has interests in the role of digital and remote automated monitoring technology for transitions from hospital to home after major surgery. She is first author on several papers published in peer-reviewed journals.
