Associate Professor Sveva Bollini

University of Genoa - Department of Health Sciences, Genoa (Italy)

My current research aims at exploiting the stem cell secretome to enhance endogenous mechanisms of cardiac repair. I am particularly interested in characterizing the regenerative potential of the human amniotic fluid stem cell (hAFS) secretome (including soluble secreted molecules and extracellular vesicles) in "rejuvenating" myocardial renewal mechanisms as well as in providing cardioprotection in models of myocardial ischemia and drug-induced cardiotoxicity.
