Mamotabo Rossy Matshela is an adult cardiologist with special interest in Advance cardiac imaging (Echo/CMR) and a researcher. Mamotabo is a researcher and has been a research collaborator with the Mayo Clinic for at least 10years now. She is currently embarking on multiple research projects (registries) with intentions to narrow the CVS disparity gaps in terms of research and management (around the impoverished communities in her native country, South Africa). Matshela's research areas include Heart failure, Pericardial diseases, Cardio-Oncology, Atrial Fibrillation and basic echo-screening in school children. Furthermore, she is a leading expert in myocardial mechanics using speckle tracking. Matshela is also a premium professional member of the AHA and other organizations.
