Consultant cardiologist at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire, United Kingdom. Lead for heart failure, academic cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation. Honorary professor with the University of Warwick Medical School and Coventry University. UK Lead for cardiovascular research (Heart Failure & Cardiac Surgery remit) in the National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Networks (CRN) and in the West Midlands CRN. Accredited in both cardiology and general internal medicine and has wide ranging clinical interests including cardiorenal syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac amyloidosis, palliative care in heart failure and myocarditis. Research programme on the vascular contribution in heart failure, myocardial fatigue, HFpEF and pre-HFPEF. Also, cardiac rehabilitation with electrical muscle stimulation and in pulmonary hypertension. Loves and writes poetry, literature, music, nature and cricket.
