Research interests: sympatho-adrenal function and stress mechanisms in humans, hypertension, platelet function and antiplatelet therapy, chronic ischemic heart disease (APSIS study), diabetes, atrial fibrillation and oral anticoagulants. More than 300 original articles and >150 other publications. Tutored 28 PhD thesises. Previously much involved in ethics in research (Ethics Prize of the Karolinska Institute 2009).
