Associate Professor William KF Kong is presently a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at the National University Heart Centre, Singapore, and an Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Singapore. He is serving as Director of Echocardiography laboratory in NUH since 2020. A/Prof Kong's interests include cardiovascular imaging, in particular cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography), heart valve disease and bicuspid aortic valve disease. He performs transesophageal and stress echocardiograms and runs the Heart Valve Clinic at NUHCS. His PhD thesis is from Leiden University Medical Centre (LUMC) at Leiden, the Netherlands examining the epidemiology, clinical, genetics and imaging aspects of bicuspid aortic valve and aortopathy. He is also a member of the Heart Team providing echocardiographic assessment/support for transcatheter therapies for patients who deemed high risk for surgery.
