Bambang Widyantoro is a medical doctor who graduated from Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta. He completed clinical cardiology training followed by the fellowship of cardiac intensive care and interventional cardiology at the National Cardiovascular Center (NCVC) Harapan Kita in Jakarta, and spent five years completing his research work for PhD in basic cardiovascular science at Kobe University, Japan. He published his PhD thesis about the molecular mechanism of heart failure and diabetic cardiomyopathy in Circulation-AHA journal. He served as a lecturer in the Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine - Universitas Indonesia; and a consultant cardiologist in the intensive and cardiovascular care unit NCVC Harapan Kita. He currently served as Head of Cardiovascular Research Division at NCVC Harapan Kita, with research interests includes acute and critical care cardiology; hypertension; heart failure; and diabetes-related CV disease using AI and genomic approaches.
