Doctor Masaharu Masuda

Kansai Rosai Hospital, Amagasaki (Japan)

Member of:

European Society of Cardiology

As a cardiologist, he was initially involved in heart failure and PCI, but since 2008 he has mainly been involved in arrhythmia care, especially catheter ablation. As of 2024, he is serveing as the Director of the Cardiovascular Center and the Director of the Arrhythmia Division at Kansai Rosai Hospital. The research team led by Dr. Masuda covers all aspects of ablation, especially arrhythmogenic substrate of atrial fibrillation. In addition to electrophysiological exploration, they are also conducting pioneering research on atrial function and atrial cardiomyopathy from cardiodynamic and endocrine perspectives. The team also aim to contribute to the medical community by conducting clinical and basic experiments on the efficacy and safety of newly-developed ablation devices.
