Doctor Francois Marcotte

Dr. Marcotte is a board certified adult cardiologist in adult congenital heart disease (ACHD), echocardiography (echo) and cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR). He completed medical training at Université de Montréal (1983) and internal medicine & cardiology residency at McGill University (1988). He completed fellowship training in echo at the Université de Montréal (1989) and in ACHD at University of Toronto (1990). He founded the McGill University Jewish General Hospital ACHD Center (1991) and later consolidated his knowledge in cardiac imaging at University of Toronto (2000). He was recruited to the Montreal Heart Institute (MHI) in 2002, serving in ACHD and echo and contributed developing the CMR Program with several publications in ACHD and non-invasive cardiac imaging. Committed to teaching, he was named clinical teacher of the year at the MHI in 2007, 2009 & 2010. He was later recruited to Mayo Clinic Arizona in early 2017, currently as director of the ACHD Clinic.
