Caroline M. Van De Heyning has been a consultant at the Department of Cardiology of the Antwerp University Hospital (Belgium) since 2013, where she is the head of the echocardiography lab. She obtained a PhD in medical sciences in 2014 and holds a position as assistant professor at the University of Antwerp. Her areas of expertise and research are multi-modality imaging (stress/exercise/3D echo and CMR) in valvular heart disease and cardiomyopathy/myocarditis. She is the secretary of the Belgian Working Group of Non-Invasive Imaging and member of the EACVI Web & Communication Committee and Certification in CMR committee.
