Caroline M. Van De Heyning is consultant at the Department of Cardiology of the Antwerp University Hospital (Belgium) since 2013 and assistant professor at the University of Antwerp. She obtained a PhD in medical sciences in 2014. Her areas of expertise are valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy/myocarditis, stress and exercise echocardiography (fellowship University Hospital Liège with Prof L.Piérard and Prof P.Lancellotti, 2010-2011) and cardiovascular magnetic resonance (fellowship St-Thomas London with Dr A.Chiribiri, Dr T.Ismail and Prof S.Plein, 2016-2017). She is the secretary of the Belgian Working Group of Non-Invasive Imaging and member of the EACVI Web & Communication Committee and Certification in CMR committee.
