Nathan D. Wong, PhD, MPH, FACC, FAHA, FNLA, FASPC Dr. Nathan Wong is a cardiovascular epidemiologist and Professor and Director, Heart Disease Prevention Program, Division of Cardiology at the University of California, Irvine in California, with joint appointments in Epidemiology and UCLA and UC Irvine and Radiology and Public Health at UC Irvine. He holds MPH and PhD degrees in epidemiology from Yale University. He is immediate past president of the Pacific Lipid Association (chapter of the NLA) and a past president of the American Society for Preventive Cardiology, and president-elect of the Interamerican Heart Foundation. Dr. Wong has primary research interests in subclinical atherosclerosis, lipid and diabetes management, and cardiovascular disease prevention and has authored over 300 papers and co-edited six textbooks, including Braunwald's Preventive Cardiology. Dr. Wong lectures locally, nationally and internationally in various topics in preventive cardiology.
