Pedro Dal Lago is a Full Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy at the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre (UFCSPA). Since 2004, he has been a research productivity fellow (1D) of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). He has been a member of the Biological and Health Sciences Advisory Committee of FAPERGS and is a consultant for CAPES, CNPq, FAPESP, INEP/MEC, and FWO in Belgium. With a research focus on Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation, his projects involve applied clinical research and bench research within the area of Translational Research, emphasizing pathophysiology and non-pharmacological resources applied to cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. He also has experience in Cardiovascular Physiology, Respiratory Physiology, and Respiratory Physiotherapy, mainly working on the following topics: cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory physiotherapy, heart failure, physical exercise, and inspiratory muscle training.
