Dr. Themistoclakis is the Director of Cardiology of Dell'Angelo Hospital in Venice-Mestre, Italy. His main expertise in in the Electrophysiology field. He is a member of the following scientific societies: EHRA, ESC, Italian Federation of Cardiology (IFC), ANMCO and AIAC. Within the Italian Society of Arrhythmology and Cardiac Pacing (AIAC), was appointed General Secretary and co-chair of the AIAC Working Group for Catheter Ablation from April 2008 to April 2010; he was then AIAC's Vice-President, (April 2010- March 2012). Currently, he is a regional past-president of ANMCO Veneto and member of national executive board. Dr. Themistoclakis has involved as board member of national and international guidelines or consensus document on Arrhythmias. He has participated as Chairman and/or Speaker to several international meetings on cardiac arrhythmias and has authored or co-authored more than 200 publications, among book chapters, international journals, and abstracts.
