Professor Robert de Kemp

Dr. deKemp obtained his B.A.Sc. in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo, M.Sc. in medical physics and Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering at the E.S.Garnett Department of Nuclear Medicine at McMaster University, Canada. He returned to Ottawa in 1994 to help establish the National Cardiac PET Centre with Dr. Rob Beanlands at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. He is Associate Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Engineering at the University of Ottawa, Adjunct Professor of Science (Medical Physics) at Carleton University. He has served on the Cardiovascular Council of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, past Associate Editor of Circulation Cardiovascular Imaging, and currently Associate Editor of the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology. His research is focused on the development of quantitative imaging biomarkers for cardiac PET.
