Runa is a senior consultant in electrophysiology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and has been working with catheter ablations since january 2014. She is the head of the arrhythmia unit since 2023. She has a PhD where the research focus at that time was HFPEF. She is a member of an expert committee for a Swedish quality ensurance program for ECG/holter interpretations since 2019. Furthermore she is the director for the national registry of catheter ablations in Sweden since may 2022. Her current interest in research is mainly atrial fibrillation and ablations. She is fluent in english, swedish and icelandic.
