Runa is a senior consultant in electrophysiology at Sahlgrenska University Hospital and has been working with catheter ablations since january 2014. She is the head of the arrhythmia unit since 2023. She has a PhD where the research focus at that time was HFPEF. She is a member of an expert committee for a Swedish quality ensurance program for ECG/holter interpretations since 2019. She was the director for the national registry of catheter ablations in Sweden 2022-2025. She is a member of the EHRA comittee for advocacy, quality improvement and health economics for 2024-2026. Her current interest in research is mainly atrial fibrillation and ablations. She is fluent in english, swedish and icelandic.
