Pr. Alexandre Persu, MD-PhD, FESC Head of the Hypertension Clinic Cardiology Department Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc Université catholique de Louvain Brussels, Belgium Alexandre Persu is in charge of the Hypertension Clinic at the Université catholique de Louvain (Cardiology Department, Cliniques Universitaires Saint-Luc, Brussels). He has shown a long lasting interest for drug-resistant, secondary and genetic forms of Hypertension. With Prof. Jan A Staessen (University of Leuven), he was at the origin of the European Network COordinating research on Renal Denervation (ENCOReD). He coordinates the European/International Fibromuscular Dysplasia Initiative and Registry (FEIRI). He is currently secretary of the Belgian Hypertension Committee and Coordinator of the European Society of Hypertension Working Group Activities. He has co-authored more than 150 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
