Dr. Constantijn Franssen is a cardiologist working in the Antwerp University Hospital (UZA). He obtained his PhD on the pathophysiology of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) in Amsterdam in 2017 (promotor: Prof. dr. Walter J. Paulus). His clinical focus is on heart failure, invasive cardiology and cardio-oncology. He was the founder of the UZA cardio-oncology clinic in 2017, which has grown rapidly and also lead to a preclinical research line at the University of Antwerp (UA).
