Doctor Patricia Mahia

Dr. Patricia Mahia earned her degree in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM) in 1997. She specialized in Cardiology, focusing on valvular heart disease and structural interventions as an echocardiographer, and received her Doctorate from UAM, summa cum laude. She completed a research fellowship in the Non-Invasive Imaging Unit at the University of Chicago in 2003. She has worked in the Imaging Units of Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón and Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron, and since 2015 in the Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging Unit at Hospital Clínico San Carlos. She has extensive teaching experience at UAM and UCM, participates in cardiac imaging courses and master programs, and has authored over 50 articles, 20 book chapters, and 250 communications. She serves on the SEC and ESC Cardiac Imaging Section scientific committee. ORCID: 0000-0002-5136-247X
