Anne-Christine Ruwald, MD, PhD, is a certified heart failure specialist at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen, Denmark, and a PCHF alumnus. Her clinical expertise encompasses the full spectrum of heart failure, including advanced therapies such as LVAD support and heart transplantation. Her research focuses on heart failure, with ongoing national and international clinical and translational projects. She plays a leading role in investigator-initiated trials and multinational collaborations, with particular interests in heart failure and atrial fibrillation, as well as the management of cardiac sarcoidosis. She is actively engaged in ESC and HFA activities and contributes to scientific initiatives, consensus work, and collaborative efforts across subspecialties and international networks. She is committed to advancing high-quality, evidence-based heart failure care through research, education, and collaboration. She is married with four children and enjoys spending time with her family.
