Dr. David Calvo is consultant in clinical cardiology & interventional cardiac electrophysiology accredited by the European Heart Rhythm Association. He was a research fellow at the Center for Arrhythmia Research (UP-State New York University; 2007 & University of Michigan, Ann-Arbor, USA; 2019), and obtained his PhD degree in Medicine from the Complutense University, Spain, in 2010. Currently, he focusses on cardiac fibrillation as main area of interest at the Cardiovascular Institute, University Hospital Clínico San Carlos, Madrid, Spain. As principal investigator he published 20 original articles (D1 and Q1 journals) during the last 10 years, which have been recognized by the international scientific community in form of: (i) an award from the “Cardiac Electrophysiology Society” (USA; 2012), (ii) four awards from the Arrhythmia Section of the Spanish Society of Cardiology and (iii) several editorial articles accompanying his original investigations.
