Giulio Stefanini studied Medicine and trained in Cardiology at Sapienza University or Rome. Thereafter, he completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Bern University Hospital (Bern, CH) supported by competitive grants of the EAPCI and of the Special Program University Medicine program (SPUM) of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). He has obtained a PhD in Experimental Medicine at University of Rome Tor Vergata (Rome, IT), and a MSc in Health Economics and Management in Cardiovascular Sciences at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences (London, UK), supported by a ESC scholarship. He currently holds a professorship at Humanitas University and works as clinical and interventional cardiologist at Humanitas Research Hospital (Milan, IT), where he serves as head of clinical research of the Cardio Center. His research is currently funded by competitive grants of the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) and the Italian Ministries of Health and Research.
