Kirsi Korpi is cardiologist from Finland and currently working at Helsinki and Tampere Heart hospitals that are part of the Tampere University hospital. Her main interest areas at cardiology are sports cardiology, rhythm diseases, cardiomyopaties, imaging and coronary disease. Before her career in medicine, she was a national team level speed skater and get to know heart rate monitors along with high-intensive training and its related problems. She is a physician for the Finnish national speed skating team and was doctor of Finnish Olympic team at Pyeongchang winter Olympic games 2018 in South Korea. She has also worked as a team doctor of men Finnish premium league football team HIFK years 2016 and 2017. Doctor Korpi was asked to work at advisory board for company PulseOn in 2016 and started to develope device to detect silent atrial fibrillation with the PulseOn company. May 2019 she established Finlands first sport cardiology clinic to Helsinki heart hospital.
