Mr Sergio Sanchez

Institute of Biomedical Research August Pi Sunyer (IDIBAPS), Barcelona (Spain)

He received his BSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2011 from the University of Alicante (Spain), and his MSc in Biomedical Engineering from both the University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) in 2013. He finished his M.Sc. with a stay in ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research of the University of Bern (Switzerland), where he collaborated with the Cardiovascular Engineering research group focusing mainly on signal processing. He started his Ph.D. in September 2014 at the Department of Information and Communication Technologies (UPF, Barcelona), dealing with Statistical Learning in the analysis of patients with heart failure, which he finished in September 2018. Since then, he works as a postdoc researcher at IDIBAPS, developing machine learning tools to identify predictors of adverse outcome in patients with cardiovascular diseases.
