Dr Edythe Tham is a Professor of Pediatrics (Cardiology) specializing in echocardiography and cardiac MRI at the Stollery Children's Hospital & Mazankowski Heart Institute at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. She underwent Medical School & Pediatric training in Adelaide, Australia; Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at the Lucille Packard Children's Hospital, Stanford; an imaging fellowship at the Children's Hospital, Boston & further CMR training at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London. Her research interests are in novel imaging techniques to evaluate ventricular function in single ventricles, congenital heart disease and cardiomyopathies. She is the director of the Pediatric Cardiology Residency training program & the Advanced Imaging fellowship with a vested interest in mentoring young trainees and building them up for their future careers. Outside of medicine she is a musician, baker, ski instructor & virtual event planner, specifically virtual Fontan day-camps.
