Alexandros Kasiakogias is a cardiologist and Senior Clinical Lecturer in Inherited Cardiac Conditions at the Cardiogenetics and Sports Cardiology Unit of the 1st Cardiology Department, Athens Medical School, Hippokration General Hospital, Athens, Greece. Following his completion of cardiology training in Athens, he moved to the United Kingdom to undergo clinical training in Inherited Cardiac Conditions and Sports Cardiology at St George’s University Hospital, London, UK. He continued his subspecialty training with NHS fellowships in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance and Adult Cardiomyopathy at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, UK. He is certified in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (Level III EACVI & SCMR) and transthoracic echocardiography (EACVI). Alexandros holds a PhD from the Medical School of Athens. He is Associate Editor of the Hellenic Journal of Cardiology. Alexandros is a nucleus member of the Working Group on Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases of the ESC.
