David Thompson is Professor of Nursing, Queen’s University, Belfast, UK. He is also: Honorary Professor, School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems, University College Dublin; Adjunct Professor, School of Public Health, Monash University; Professorial Fellow, Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne; Honorary Professor, School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Queensland; and Distinguished Professor, School of Nursing, Anhui Medical University. His major research interests are in designing and evaluating novel psychosocial interventions, developing and validating disease-specific patient-reported outcome measures and conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses in cardiovascular disease prevention and rehabilitation.
