Yoshihiro Kokubo, MD, Ph.D., FAHA, FESC, FACC, FESO. is a Director of the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center, Suita, Japan; Visiting Professor of the University of Glasgow, U.K. and Osaka University, Suita, Japan. His research fields are preventive medicine and epidemiology. He is responsible for the Suita study, an urban area cohort study. He has published more than 250 peer-reviewed research articles, including Lancet, JAMA, Circulation, Eur Heart J, Hypertension, Stroke, etc. He notably contributed to cardiovascular disease, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, stroke, and carotid atherosclerosis. He is currently actively involved as an Executive Council of the International Society of Hypertension. He is an Editor-in-chief of the Environ Health Prev Med, Associate Editors of J Hypertension and Atherosclerosis, and Editorial Board Members of Stroke, Hypertension, Eur Stroke J, and so on. He has received many times of Top Review Awards from Hypertension and Atherosclerosis.
