Doctor Alberto Zingaro

Barcelona (Spain)

Alberto Zingaro is a Senior Scientist at ELEM Biotech in Barcelona, specializing in computational modeling of the heart. He graduated from Politecnico di Milano in 2015 (Aerospace Engineering), completed an MSc in Computational Fluid Dynamics at Cranfield University in 2017, and earned a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 2018. He obtained his PhD at the MOX Laboratory of Politecnico di Milano, where he developed multiphysics models of cardiac hemodynamics and perfusion. Afterward, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Politecnico di Milano and Johns Hopkins University. Since 2018, he has focused on combining computational modeling and AI to create patient-specific cardiac models for precision medicine and drug safety. His expertise includes multiscale cardiac modeling, fluid–structure interaction of valves, and in silico trials. He speaks Italian, English, and Spanish, with some knowledge of Catalan, and enjoys cooking, playing padel, and traveling.
